Canada railway industry intensifies government lobbying after Quebec crash

 The explosion of a runaway oil train in Quebec last month has prompted Canada’s railway industry to review rail safety rules and intensify its lobbying efforts. The Railway Association of Canada hired Earnscliffe Strategy Group to discuss the movement of dangerous goods, regulations and safety training, filings show.
