The Grand Hotel on Barras Bridge, in Newcastle, will refurbish availing a 2.5 million pound investment from the Newcastle University. The Hotel was built in 1902 and the Newcastle University bought it after 56 years for their student accommodation. This investment will not only renovate the city centre hotel but will also increase the number of en-suite rooms from 48 to 66.
