Self-Service Airline Check-in KIOSKS Start at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport


Ethiopian Airports Enterprise and Ethiopian Airlines introduced common use self-service check-in KIOSKS at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport on May 22, 2012. This new service will greatly simplify the check-in process for passengers and ease congestion at the Addis Ababa Bole International Airport during peak hours.

787 Dream Tour Touches Down "Down Under"


Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner landed at Sydney International Airport in Australia, kicking off the seventh and final leg of the global Dream Tour.

For the next four days, guests invited by Boeing and 787 customers Qantas and Jetstar will have an opportunity to tour the airplane, known as ZA003, which has been outfitted with the Dreamliner’s many innovative cabin features including a welcoming entryway, dramatically larger dimmable windows, bigger bins and dynamic LED lighting.

Galway Goes to Miami for Volvo Ocean Race

They met with some of the key travel trade and media contacts in Florida, at a reception organised by Tourism Ireland at the Ocean Club in South Beach. DOT Fines Virgin America for Incomplete Disability Complaint Reports

Friday, May 25, 2012 - The U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) today assessed a civil penalty against Virgin America for filing incomplete reports with the Department about complaints registered by passengers with disabilities and for not responding adequately to these complaints.  The carrier was ordered to cease and desist from further violations and assessed a civil penalty of $100,000.
